Our names are Bryn & Georgia and we bought our little butcher shop in January 2020 when we were just 20 years old. I know you are most likely wondering how do two 20 year olds end up buying a butcher shop? Well it all starts with Bryn who started as a clean up kid at Donnybrook butchers when he was 14 years old where he would come in after school and do all the ‘fun’ duties that come with being a clean up kid, this is where his passion for meat started - he loved being at that shop (even if it was just cleaning duties to start) so its safe to say that when he started his butchers apprenticeship at 16 he took too it like a duck to water. He worked extremely hard and managed too fast track his apprenticeship in two and a half years to where he was officially a qualified butcher. Bryn is one of the most passionate people about meat you will ever see and he cared for the butcher shop like it was his own, so when his boss Glenn had decided he wanted to try something new he offered Bryn the opportunity to buy the shop. Now obviously as a 20 year old you would think that buying a Butcher Shop would be quite daunting especially if you haven’t had any experience owning a business before, however Bryn had a vision for the shop and he knew that with enough passion and hard work he could make it happen. This is where Bryn’s work started in trying to convince Georgia that buying a Butcher Shop at 20 was a fantastic idea (By the way, Bryn could sell ice to an eskimo) So with Georgia on board with the idea and after a few trees worth of paperwork later we found ourselves opening the door on January 3rd 2020 for our first day trading as owners. Fast forward a few years and we are so over whelmed each and everyday by all the amazing support we have received.

We are passionate about show casing the best meat our region has to offer and are big believers in supporting local. We ensure all of our meat is free range and as locally sourced as possible.
